Crock Pot Recipes: Easy Beef Stew

Baked Potatoes are great, but I don't know a single person who eats one plain. It was that realization that led me to want to write this article. How fun it is to add a topping to a potato and give it that extra flavor. Plus the kids like to get in to the action and when they create their own food, they usually want to eat it. Read this article to discover the top 10 potato toppers.

This simple easy beef stew stew, as well as other similar versions of carne guisada, are found in many Texas and Tex-Mex restaurants today. Although most carne guisada recipes call for the pot to be cooked on the stove top, this beef stew is slow-cooked, or baked, in the oven. This results in the meat being more tender. The results of either method should be a very thick stew, without much liquid.

I was simple beef stew initially concerned by the exterior. It's glossy, it's slick, and it looks more like the sort of eatery designed to pull in tourists rather than discerning locals. Don't get me wrong, it was a beautiful building...it's just that I tend to prefer eating at restaurants beloved by locals when I travel, rather than eat at a place clearly just hoping to turn over average meals for tired tourists.

In a large bowl (use your Kitchen Aid bowl if you are using the Kitchen Aid), add lukewarm water, sugar, salt and yeast. Proof for 10 to 15 minutes, until yeast mixture gets bubbly and thick. Add beaten egg and 1-1/2 cups of flour. If using the Kitchen Aid, begin mixing on low speed to incorporate the ingredients. If you are making by hand, refer to video I have included in this article.

However, there will be times when you don't know anyone that works for the character you're writing about, so for those times, your first job is to sit down and interview your character. To do that, create a list of questions such as where were you born, what were the names of your parents, what do you like to eat, what's your favorite color and so on. Then "get into character" in much the same way as actors on a stage do. For a few minutes, pretend you are the character and answer the questions. Go into as much detail as you possibly can.

When I worked in the kitchen of a college dormitory years ago, we had spoons that were similar to this OXO Stainless Steel Slotted Spoon, but they weren't made nearly as well or looked as nice. They were very thin and I suspect maybe were made of aluminum. This OXO spoon is very plain but yet has an elegance to it. The brushed stainless steel has a rich look, and it doesn't show fingerprints easily. The handle is nice and thick, due to the black non-slip section attached to the bottom, and it doesn't dig into your hands when using it.

The first meal involved simple beef stew in slow cooker slow cooked with soft wheat kernels and merguez (a spicy lamb sausage) accompanied by a dill pickle. The wine was mouth-filling and showed great balance. It tasted of plums. It kept its power in the presence of Turkish harissa, a spicy condiment. I tasted some tobacco. The wine was moderately long.

Clean up is easy! It has removable stoneware that is dishwasher safe or can be washed in the sink. Be careful not to burn your hands when removing the inner stoneware. It can get very hot. Turn it off, unplug it and let it cool before cleaning. Be sure to keep the power cord away from water. After cleaning, it's easily stored in a cabinet or on a shelf. It can be left out on a counter top until it's used again.

Another tasty option for dessert is a Pot O' Gold Cupcake -- a rainbow-colored cupcake paired with gold chocolate coins. To create rainbow cupcakes, simply prepare a white cake mix and divide the batter simple beef stew bbc six small bowls. To create purple batter, add 9 red drops of food coloring and 6 blue drops of food coloring. To create the ideal blue, green and yellow shades, you will need 12 drops of each in the batter. For orange, add 12 yellow drops and 4 red drops. For Red, use 18 drops of food coloring. Layer the batter inside the baking cups and bake according to box instructions. After cooled and shortly before serving, add whipped cream icing to represent a cloud. Sit the cupcakes on a platter covered with gold chocolate coins.
